In Dark Whispers Of A Serial Killer, Agnes Varona Oquendo crafts a compelling tale. A tale that draws the reader in, moving from page to page as Agnes takes us not only into the mind of a serial killer, but also into the minds of the victims.
There are many points in the story which tears touch my eyes. It is these points that I feel the fear and the pain and the confusion of the victims.
An interesting story telling technique, one which adds a unique and effective point of view, instead of using traditional dialoguing, the characters speak in uninterrupted monologues. Thus the characters are simultaneously interacting with one another and yet, not losing their own stream of thought.
Agnes Varona Oquendo tells a good story, one that held me all the way to the unexpected, and completely satisfying, ending.
