Weekly Progress Update (Written)

On a positive note, as of waking this morning, the teller of truth, my scale, reports a current loss of 122.8 pounds.
Weight loss is a funny thing — one week up 1/2 pound, next week down around 9 and this week down 3.4.
When I have a big drop people will often ask, “Aren’t you losing too fast?”
The answer I give is the same I give on weeks when there is not as much of a drop.
“Weight comes off as weight comes off.”
I do nothing differently. I eat roughly the same, I exercise roughly the same. The important aspects are consistency combined with desire, determination and discipline.
This time around what drives me is not vanity or ego, it is improving my health and fitness and wellness to reduce a potential comorbidity during this pandemic. Yet, what drives us is unimportant — it is finding that “something” to drive us which is important.
To everyone here on my blog, on social media, Racquel and Annie at work, my colleague Doc Conway, and my accountability buddy here on Facebook, thank you all for your words of support and encouragement. I know for a fact, that during these most difficult times, which have been greatly compounded by other forces, without your positive comments pushing me forward, I would not be making continued progress.
I have said this many times, and it continues to hold true — I could NOT do this alone. I can not, nor can I ever, enough express my gratitude.


Now, after a second cup of Kuai Coffee Company coffee, gonna get in a morning jog so I can recover as much lost time with my little dog as possible.
