WTF Announcement – Update

Below are older photos of me I posted when someone claimed a person can’t build muscle on a low-carb diet. At the time I weighed in at about 220 lbs. or so. Probably in some of the best shape of my life while I was training for strongman competitions.
My classmate, colleague and friend Scott has motivated me to train for an Ironman distance triathlon.
I am currently looking at one in September in Maryland. I was originally going to do Lake Placid in July, but I want to give myself some summertime outdoor swimming time. Which may mean sneaking into my cousin’s lake. 😉
Even though I am now down to 235lbs, I am not in the shape of days past, not simply because I am an old(er) man now, but because COVID is keeping me from the gym.
I have set up a small workout space in my basement and will start hitting the weights this next week. But even if I am able to get back in that kind of shape, I think 220lbs is too much to carry in this type of competition, so I am looking to drop my weight down to around 185lbs.
And BTW I am still planning to be a low carber.
Should be fun – or insane. Either way WTF. I will keep y’all posted. Oh, and if God doesn’t hate you the way he hates me, I could use prayers. 🙂
