A Cold Morning

My alarm sounded at 6:10am. Another restless night, sleep again interrupted by renewed night terrors, kept me from a restorative rest.
Through a foggy haze I heard a howling breeze. My bunk mate, ALEXA, informed me the temperature was a wind-aided 27 cold degrees.
I realized my fleece-lined base layers, because of unusually warm days, remained unpacked. Not wanting to leave my spot, in a low, seductive tone, I asked my information laden woman what the temperature would be at noon.
With confident reassurance, she told me it would be in the 40s and sunny.
I asked her to wake me again in an hour, and rolled back over, opting to do a jog/walk over lunch instead of venturing out on this sub-freezing morn.
