On a positive note, as of waking this morning, the teller of truth, my sometimes adored (recently very much adored) and often times demonic, scale reports a current loss of 145.3 pounds.
With that “official” weigh in, my current weight now stands at 229.7lbs. February’s starting weight was 375. I am close to my original goal of 225lbs. That is the weight I am usually most comfortable, but I am not in the gym because of COVID, so the associated muscle that I would normally carry is not present. Additionally, I am planning to “compete” in an Ironman distance {2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bicycle ride, 26.2 mile jog [I know WTF is wrong with me😉😎?]} Triathlon in September, so I am going to bring my weight down to 185lbs. I have cleared space in my home to do some basic weight training, thankfully my years of experience, combined with my education and decades of training others, I will come up with an effective regime despite limited equipment.
Last week I mentioned how fickle weight loss can be and the decreases from week to week may not be consistent, well these last 3 weeks were. A little over 5lbs for the last 2 weeks, and again a little over 5 this week. This is an objective, measurable reminder of how important it is to maintain consistency. That consistency, combined with desire, determination and discipline, plus the incredible support I receive here, over the long run, is what yields results.
Bravo, Joe 👏👏👏😘
